About Inktober

Inktober is an annual art challenge that takes place during the month of October. The main concept is to create a new ink drawing every day following a list of daily prompts.

Participating artists often share their Inktober drawings on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook using the hashtag #Inktober. This allows them to showcase their artwork and connect with a larger community of artists.

Inktober has gained widespread popularity among artists worldwide.

Thoughts*

2019 was the first time I have taken part in inktober and created a separate instagram account called @viksi_drawing. There you can follow my journey on practicing and sharing art, discovering new ways to draw and finding a style.

I found that inktober challenge is a great way to get inspiration and motivation for drawing, together with millions of people going through the same challenge together, sharing their creativity and support.

For year 2019, I chose to follow inktober created by @furrylittlepeach with a hashtag #flpinktober19 , since I was quite new to digital art and the prompt words seemed easy and doable for a daily challenge.
